You always are the first driver on the list no matter what the name is.
You'll need to create a new list or remove all the drivers ahead of
you to get your name up to the first slot.

Remove all the players from the season list then add yourself then all the
other drivers.

Nascar 2: How to select default driver??

Just got N2 for Xmas, can't figure out how in the world to select my
driver.  I changed the name of "The Player", but N2 was still logging
"fastest lap" times under the old name.  So, created a new driver with
my name; removed "The Player" from racelist, added myself (name was
inserted at end of list.)  Now, it thinks I'm John Smith, which just
happens to be the racer at the front of the list.  I can't move my name
to the front, and I now can't move "The Player" to the front.

Can someone help me here?  Can someone go smack the UI designer for this
game for me!?

Ya this is great isn't it? Can someone explain the meaning of the last 2
hi-lighted sentences at the end of page 58 of the manual?

In my opinion ,it is wrong.

Just like page 15 tells you about Arcade mode where the AI cars speed up or
slow down to keep the racing fun.  I raced Atlanta and was lapped after
around 6-8 laps.  I raced Talladega and was lapped after 10 laps.

Just like page 137 says "...to name the current setup, click on the
pull-down Setup icon and enter a new name."  Yeah, right...just click on
the name, don't use the pull-down icon.

Just like page 150 shows the two front wheels backwards.

There's probably more, but that isn't really all that bad for a 216 page
manual.  Most game programmers would have only given a quick 3 page manual
and then the rest as a .TXT file.

How about Sierra Europe?!? They gave us a shitty-90-page-excuse
for a manual! It's like when *** published N1. *** you,
Sierra Europe (or whoever decided to replace the manual with
a flyer)!!!

Sorry, had to let that one go ...

Manuals generally have to go to press several weeks before the game
itself is complete.  That is why God created the readme file.
