What does this mean for the future of Papyrus and their line of sims based
on Nascar?  According to the site they have a Nascar game planned for
release next year and have already signed a deal with Nascar earlier in the
year. Papyrus seem to have put all their eggs in one basket by ditching CART
to concentrate on Nascar and now this looks likely to be taken away from
them. Whats the next move for Papyrus? will they join Hasbro? Or will Geoff
Crammond be working flat on on engines for GP3 AND a Nascar game? :-)

The nascar people sign up with everyone for anything that they can
sell.   You name it some driver  put his name on it. I saw mice the
other day shaped in the form of a car with Wonderboy and Ironhead
versions. I'll bet you can buy a toilet seat with somebody's name on
it!

If it's not an 'exlusive' deal, it probably doesn't mean anything.

Absolutely nothing.  It looks like Hasbro is trying to go in another
direction than Papyrus.  At the moment there is no simulation in the lineup,
just things like a Nascar E-mail software, etc..  I somehow predict we will
see a kid wheel + Nascar software (you know... like the toolkit you put
above your keyboard).

Licensing drivers is something that only adds to the original license for
Entertainment family products.  And a game is a game, it could be
arcade-based, based for young kids, pinball game, anything ;)

And don't desperate a CART sim, nobody knows what is their lineup for the
year 2000.  They cannot just do Nascar titles for the REST of humanity, no?
;(

Wish there was a CART sim on the horizon, enjoyed ICR/ICR2 and CART CPR more
so than the recent crop of F1 games.
