Which Sound Card For GPL

I am wanting to purchase a PCI sound card for my machine.
Deos anyone know which is best for GPL, the Creative Labs
Soundbaster Live Value or the Diamond MX300, with regard
to both sound quality and frame rate/processor overhead with
all 16 sound enabled.  Damian.

Each has advantages. If your comparing 2 speakers to 2 speakers, the MX300
probably comes out a little ahead. Add the extra 2 speakers to the Live, and
it is probably every bit as good in sound. For the hit on the processor, I
have heard that the SB Live uses less of the pc processor, thereby allowing
for better frame rates.
Either card is good - I have the SBLive Value with 4 speakers and a
subwoofer, and am very happy.
