Act Labs Force RS problem.

When I calibrate the controller in N4, and also when sitting in
neutral... I mash the gas and the steering moves to the right about
20%.  I am not sure how exactly this is manifesting itself when the
car is rolling in gear.

There are no FF effects felt in the wheel when you mash the gas, so it
is only in the signal going out.

Mostly concerned that some stray voltage is finding its way down the
wrong path and might be the sign of bigger problems down the road
(track?).

Any advice appreciated,
Gerald

I had this a while back with my Interact V3 (non-FF, gameport).

It only happened using the DirectInput driver; if I deleted
the joystick/wheel in Control Panel and used a 'generic'
joystick driver, it worked fine.

I've just finished mucho p*ssing around replacing pedal pots
(for which I had to kitbuild new pots from some new and some
old parts) and also trying to sort out the (optically read)
steering behaviour, and guess what?  It doesn't do it now
- so I can finally use DirectInput plus CTFJ3, hooray!

Doesn't explain the phenomenon*, though :-(

AL Tech support said to check the pedal cable for shorts... grrrrr.
