ACT Labs Force RS noise problem

by sharad.. » Wed, 11 Aug 1999 04:00:00

Hi,

I just bought the ACT Labs Force RS 2 weeks back. I'm quite impressed
with its strong forces. However, as a complaint, I have started hearing
squeeky high pitch sounds coming from the inside everytime I turn the
wheel. I won't hear the sound if my speaker volume are set high enough,
however I'm still bothered by its presence. Did anyone else have this
problem?

Secondly, it seems that the outer casing of the wheel is not bonded to
the inner casing if I look at it from the front. Is this done on
purpose to allow for the some free play when the wheel vibtrates or is
this a defect?

Thanks!
Sharad

ACT Labs Force RS noise problem

I purchased my ACT Labs Force RS (serial) about 3 months  ago and I have the
same squeeky wheel problem.  Tech support told me that it would eventually
go away with use (we will see). Like you, I am overall satisfied with the
product but the noise is a nuisance.
