rec.autos.simulators

hello,
   finally decided to try vroc (after hours of practicing.) i'm using gpl
spyboy. but when i try to join a race, i get the multiplayer screen, and try
to connect.  The game seems to be connecting, (get the sychronizing messages
etc) but then nothing else happens, i dont even get the front of the program
telling which track, and it shows no number of cars or practice time
remaining.  Any help for an idiot would be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is that you are not using the recommended
core.ini file http://vroc.net/common/core.htm
