Do you think it would be possible to get those at VROC to consider
support for GP500?  A variation on Larry Holbert's GSB for GPL would be
excellent.

I don't believe GP500 is getting the attention it deserves - we really
need a better way to get racers together. ICQ is ok, but it isn't really
working that well IMO. One or two racers may hook up, but how often have
you been in a GP500 on-line race with 10+ that you got together with via
ICQ?

If somehow we made this venture profitable for Alison, Nate & John (VROC)
and Larry (GSB) maybe we could get them to consider this idea...

Its going to be an issue of the OTHER way around.  GP500 would have to
expose some of the same functionality that Papy did in GPL in order for VROC
to be able to tap in and get information from the GP500 listen server.
However, this may or may not already be available in GP500, dunno as I am
not a fan of the game at all.

As good of method as GSB is to find an IRC channel somewhere where you can
get an op status and start promoting it.  This is basically what GSB did,
except it happened to have its own IRC client added in.

See above.

Durring the demo we used to chat and setup races on irc.  I don't think the
chat room is there any more.

Well, I just signed up for your league and ordered a MID so maybe I'll be
okay :)  This is really a fun sim!

GPL'rs really owe it to themselves to take a look at this title.  I've
barely even driven a motorcycle but the history of (some of) these GP tracks
with the excellent physics of GP500 (and the GRAPHICS) this sim has my full
attention these days.

Excellent physics? Um, ok.  Tracks that are as smooth as a baby's bottom?
Control setup that doesn't go beyond 2 axises?  Not being able to setup the
various controls such as lean, pitch, etc. to map to the
buttons/axis/keyboard that *I* want rather than what GP500 wants?

No thanks.

When I was referring to physics I meant the way the bike feels and moves.
Not how smooth the track is or how difficult the controllers or options are
to set up.  I've not run into any limitations that have frustrated me as
much as you are yet.  We are entitled to our own opinions, though.

IMHO the bike "feels and moves" very well, and pretty damn close to how my
car feels in GPL...

Yup!

My opinion is that its more akin to SCGT than anything near GPL.
