GPL server need a monitor?

by mcewe » Sat, 04 Jan 2003 05:04:33

I've cobbled together a server in my ba***t from some old bits and
peices and yesterday it was working great!  I moved it to it's proper
home (back corner of pantry beside oil tank) and now when I start a
race remotely with winvroc the GPL sits in "select" status instead of
going to the track properly.  I can still get to the PC with my remote
control software so everything's fine from a windows standpoint.

The only difference I can think of is that I didn't bother plugging in
the monitor as Win98 doesn't need a monitor to boot.  Does GPL (or
more likely the Voodoo2 board) need to find a signal from the video
out?

Any ideas?

I too have a server running (win2000 with a Voodoo 3) with no monitor
plugged in.
But the GPL server works fine here.

Have no idea why yours wont though?
