When it comes to supporting and communicating with us sim drivers that do
nascar 2003 i would
recommend THE US PITS.    Trying to get answers from PWF just at this time
doesnt exist.  I feel
that JAN can provide quality software just as well if not better than PWF.
The posting of PWF
seem to be less and less and Im not sure they are gonna be around at this
point.

Just my .02 cents.

I have offered them my widetona series, wide bristol, freeway tracks and
never  get even a
***off. hehe.. at least i get that from goy and simmos

We better HOPE they are around.  They are the defacto future of our hobby
right now.

I can pick up Pete on the way, we could have some beers, I'll buy, clear

Did something happen that went straight over my head?

As far as Don's post goes, PWF's site is for their own modifications
to the sim.  You can happily post links to anything you want but they
don't host anything (hell they don't even host their own files).

IMHO N2k3 will have a few very healthy future because it is supported by
so many people and groups. I don't think one single group matters.

There are _so_ many tracks, add-ons, mods etc. announced and coming from
all sides already at this moment.

Just look at Sandown, Bathurst, Hallsville, Watkins Glen Long, the soon
to come Norisring or Goetzenburg. Consider The Pit's TPTCC mod. Or all
the free track conversions and new tracks Dave has already given us
(including his GPL classics like Brand Hatch, Imola or Road Atlanta),
and I am pretty confident there are more to come (the Norisring being
one of them, with generous permission from Lou Magyar).

Sounds, setups, tracks, mods, it's coming from all sides, and people are
only just beginning to work for and with N2k3.

Hmm, sounds like PWF has their act together indeed in this case.
Smart bunch, with some awesome mods.

I agree in that The Pits (or Noonan) seem to be far more productive than
PWF.

This link, Jan's posting with the 5 cars, and the comments in that TPTCC
thread at The Pits about Noonan's plans shows _me_ where _I_ will go
when I'm looking for my hobby's future ;)

I think you ***ers should all just...
[^&$%*&^---NO CARRIER]

Greetings from the planet Tolerance.

I have interrupted this individual's contribution to this discussion
so that you might gain some insight and understanding from our point
of view.

I am of the opinion that it is wholly unfair to compare the two
entities.  They each have their own vision, and their own way of
going about things, and there's not a thing wrong with that.  Their
efforts will may well stand on their own merits, or may fall under
the weight of general disinterest by the community, and while a
little bit of friendly rivalry between the two could be seen as a
good thing, it's just a waste of time and energy to try to get them
into a catfight.

Variety is good.  Choice is good.  We don't often get either of those
things when dealing with software.  I recommend that we all take
advantage of it while we can.

I further recommend that we let these guys (both PWF, and The Pits)
do their thing at a pace which is comfortable for them.  The LAST
thing we need is a half-completed and/or poorly through-out mod -
from anyone - simply because the whining minority insists that it's
"taking too long".

I now return you to the original individual's commnication...

...and lastly, Wilshe can suck my hairy redneck ***.
