Can anyone tell me if these are really needed? The manual with
the T2 said it is best to run with one and I have mine going through my
Sound Blaster 16 but I don't notice anything. I don't experience drift or
anything else. I usually run a 100 mi. race on NASCAR wich translates to
about an hour. BTW wich is recomended? Thustmaster ACM or CH Prods Game
Card 3? I also plan to a better joystick(looking forward to X-Wing vs
TIE-Fighter)any recomendations would be appreciated. One last item are
there any flight or space sim newsgroups?

        Thanks

G'day Mike
If your not having any problems with your SB16 game port,
the old saying still stands "If it aint broke don't fix it". If your going
to upgrade your joystick I recomend Thrustmaster gear, a bit pricey
but IMO a good buy. The news group for flt-sims is
comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.flight-sim, I'm not to sure about space news
groups

                Take care Phill.

I bought the MS-Sidewinder Pro and found it to be the best
investment I've ever made in a joystick.  It's responsive, Win95 plug
and Play, and definately RUGGED.  Unlike most Hawaii Online Nascar
racers who use a wheel, I use the Sidewinder, and believe me, it has
more miles on it than Dale Earnhart's GoodWrench machine.  Never had a
problem with it yet.  Also great for MW2....
