T2 and an Adjustable Game Card

Really thinking about buying one of them t2's.  The box recommends a
speed adjustable game card...do I really need one?  I have an AMD
586-133...what will happen if I don't get a speed adjustable game card?
 And i hear the t2 requires 2 joystick ports...does it come with a y
cable to put it into 1?

Thanks.

I use a T2 without a speed adjustable game card and it works fine.
(P133). Of course, i havent tested it  with a game card but i feel i'm
getting good enough performance without it. The T2 comes with a Y
adapter so it only requires 1 port.
