The following lines are what I have in my core.ini. I have 128 mgs of RAM so
I can afford to be generous. This setting  allows me to record the practise
session and laps of an intermediate long race at most tracks with 12+
competitors. Use a lesser number if you have less RAM or run against fewer
competitors for shorter distances. Experiment until you get what you want

[ Replay ]

replayMemoryOverride = 64000   ; Replay size adjustment

Good luck
David

I think that that is only part of what is needed, or not needed(?).  I
have 160 meg (2-64's and 1-32).  I have the mem-override set to 49x.. If
that is all you can save i.e. int-long, with 12 drivers, try adding to
your V-Cache.  I have 1 gig set for V-Cache and I can save 1 hour of
practice and a full GP length race at the Glen, Rouen, and Silverstone.
I probably could save a whole lot more but I've never had a longer
practice to test it with.

Is there a way to turn off the replay option so that you don't have the hard
drive getting hit while playing online? I'm sure that the hard driving
getting hit would hurt framerate

If you have to ask that question, I think it's best that you don't
worry about it.  If I were to tell you how, One tinny mistake could
***your system up. So, just use the core.ini file for replay lengths.

Its not possible ot have a 1 gigabyte vcache  with only 160 megs ram.:)
You can however have a 1 gig swap file but that is not the same as vcache.
Vcache is actual memory used to cache the hard drive.
