The cops weren't putting anyone at risk.  It was the criminal, thief,
scumbag that was putting innocent civilians at risk of injury and death.
I'd prefer if the cops would just put a bullet in the guys head and
spare us all the expense.

Cops don't kill people; it's the criminals they're chasing who put the
populace at risk?  Or is it guns don't kill people, it's the people who are
chasing the people who use guns who kill people?  IOW, how many cops can
dance on the head of a perp?

Cops are trained never to use their puny little 9mm Glocks unless there is a
clear and imminent threat to human life, and even then they have to hold
their fire if there is *any* danger of hitting an innocent bystander.  OTOH,
it's perfectly alright to chase some jacked-up nut-job in a 3,000-lb. car
(or, more frequently, pickup truck)  thru a heavily traveled civilian
concours with several jacked-up, half-trained cops in 4,000-lb. cruisers.
I've seen them do this even when there were kids in the vehicle being
chased.

The cops get off on this sport because they get off on ***.  Why else
join the force?

LOL! How about a localized EMP? Hit the car with enough current somehow to
kill the electrical, and it won't go much farther down the road.

Eggzackly - I'm surprised the Big Brains in the military don't have EMF
zappers online yet.  Here:

I've seen reports of such testing.  First, it's hard to get a 'delivery method'
that works reliably.  Second, most cars lose power steering and brakes when the
engine dies.  Now you're risking the loss of control of the target vehicle that
also endangers others.

Spare me.
E***ment. Action . Adventure. The thought that maybe they can contribute
to society.
But to generalize and say they get off on *** is idiotic. You must have
some beef against all police.

To me, it appeared that there was a center barrier.  So the oncoming traffic
wouldn't have been in much danger.

How do you know it was unnecessary ?  Can you prove that ?

Say the guy had a gun and just popped off at some cops and/or public
before this clip started and the cops took chase ?  Say he just ran a
minivan full of kids into a wall before this clip started, and then the cops
took chase ?

You have NO idea about the full story.  Neither do I, but then I'm not
jumping off on some tangent either.

And open wheel sim racers are all limp wristed fruitcakes.

There, now we both have posted ridiculous generalizations.
