It's part of the product yes..

The NL multiplayer is a little different than N3 (actually I would qualify
it as some sort of testing stage for future enhancement of both titles).
Because NL in multiplayer is superior to N3, mostly related to dedicated
remote server control and also better multiplayer packet sharing from what I
see.

(Tongue-in-cheek-mode)
Hmmmmm....do I get the feeling that Papy is up to something? Like using us
sim-nuts that will probably want Nascar Legends more than N3 to do their online
bug-testing? Like we've done to GPL?

In that case, this is getting interesting....!

It's N3 with different cars and tracks, plus they seem to handle more like
the cars of that time.

I bought NL for one reason only, Riverside International Raceway. Yes it's a
lot of money to pay for one track, but RIR was home for so many years that I
just couldn't resist. Am I happy with it? Let's just say that every night I
pray for a GPL-NL track converter...and that someone can figure out how to
include turn 7/7A in the mix.

Rude...maybe.

But lets ask the same question over and over and over, everyday for 3
months. Think SOMEBODY might learn that N3 or NL DOES NOT have that dreaded
GPL engine?
