input device test

hi.

I have a DirectInput test-thing at http://www.racesimcentral.net/
that needs a bit of compatibility testing. :)

I'd appreciate it if you could take two minutes to try it out, and let
me know if any input-device you might have doesn't show up, or doesn't
work like it should.

it's designed for windows98, but it may very well work on other
windows flavours.  then again, it might not.  I'd be interrested to
know. :)

requires DX8.
keyboards won't show up.
mouse axis are relative, so you may not actually see anything
happening on those.
all standard disclaimers apply.

TIA

Act-Labs Force RS, Win2000SP2, DX 8.1

All 3 axis, all 12 buttons, and POV hat show up and work.

XP Pro, LWFF GP USB, DX8.1

Everything on the LWFF functions perfectly.  My mouse (IntelliMouse 1.1)
running with the default XP PS/2 drivers is detected for button clicks only
(no movement registers).

XP Pro, patched up with hotfixes, etc..  DX 8.1.  Latest wheel drivers
(4.01 I think)

Detected my MSFF USB wheel perfectly and works great.  I'm looking forward
to trying it with my other wheels which use the gameport  (Diamond MX300
sound card / gameport).

Thanks!

James

I have a TSW2 also and my direct input hasn't worked for a while but I
managed to get by without it because in Nascar 4, I run in optimized driver
mode I think its called.

Anyway, I ran that test and it saw my TSW2 but I also got a message that
said.....

Directinput Device8_Poll
DIERR_UNPLUGGED.

What does this mean?
