Every game i try online, my car runs smoothly, i get great frame rates.
However every other car on the track looks like its warping all over the
place.  They dont drive smoothly

That's either because the host' connection is not capable of hosting too
many racers or someone with a slow connection joining, EA's network
connection programs Sucks BIG Time, they deffenatly need to improve or run
dedicated servers or something

I wondered about that too. Finally came to the conclusion after asking
around and numerous attempts to get a good game online that it just wasn't
gonna happen. Think  I may try it out on my LAN, just to see if it is any
better.

I'm sure it works fine on a LAN but over the Internet, F1 2002 is rather
poor.  With a cable connection the most I can get is four.  Even sometimes
four is too much, with the last added causing severe lag, usually because
the connector has a 56k.  Usually three works no matter who joins.  That is
too bad: imagine F1 2002 having the online play that a GPL or a N2002 has.
That would be truly something.

Yeah it would. When I tried it lag was so bad it was literally unplayable.
Gave up, but I still like it offline.

dont forget that its far easier to predict where a 67 GP car or a big heavy
NASCAR will be 200 milliseconds after the fact........modern f1 cars can
just be in soooooooo many more places on the track in that amount of time,
its gota make writing prediction algorythms as hard as it could be.
