It really does depend on the connection speed of the host + joining players I've had good and bad experiences some solid + some where the cars are jumping all over the place. Now her is my Question though I'm wondering how come all of a sudden during the game I'm removed with no reason at all not doing nothing wrong, and also when trying to join some games it say's connection refused, anybody else experience this, btw I'm on Cable

I have seen that several times, but usually it's a modem user getting
disco'd.   I suspect that ISI coded a minimum ping level and when your
connection drops below that...
  You ARE the Weakest link....Goodbye!

Man that is fu***d up, I'm on Cable for crying out loud, when I try to
create my own room nobody joins, and another weird thing has been going on
in several races today, usually I'm first going into the first corner by the
2nd corner I get a blue flag, and then nobody passes me all of a sudden I'm
in 3rd place and it say's I'm 1 lap behind, really crazy weird if you ask
me!!!

Hey What name do you use on F1 ? I use my own! Do you get booted or do you
just get a message saying "you have been removed from the game"

I think that the race may have started ? and so you can't join. I find using gamespy the program and not gamespy inside the game you get better readings.
Gamespy the program = 200-400
Gamespy inside f1-2002 = 40-200
Then again i am on adsl in australia so not alot of fast hosts around :(

Man this sucks I shell out $65CAD, for the game and as i said before some
games I get connection refused, and others in the middle of the race I get
the message you have been removed from the game!! What a***off! I bought
the damn game for online racing, not to sit here and race by myself!!!
Please comment on this if you have any idea why this is happening ???

first off....if you bought this game for online racing, you bought the
wrong game.  No F1 title has decent online capabilities.  2nd:  Do you have
a broadband connection or dial-up?  3rd:  most of the time, when you get
booted from a game it's because of lag...or rather your ping value became
too high.  Connection refused?  That 'could' be that the race already
started or they have a minimum ping level that your connection has exceeded.
As is often the case...many users are smart enough to come here to ask
questions...but...not smart enough to ask BEFORE they spend their cash.
let us know your system specs..hopefully we can suggest something.

I don't know how pertinent this will be, but go to F1 Relay and read
their tutorials about networks.  They may have info that applies..

I don't think the problem is on your end.  Since F1 2002 does not have a
dedicated server, there are likely to be a lot of people running servers
who shouldn't be.  Happens with all games.  Since you have cable,
perhaps you should try hosting a game?  Just be aware that a cable modem
is not a T1 line, for most games cable is not able to host more than 4 -
6 players.  As long as you don't exceed that, and you have F1 2002
properly configured for your bandwidth, you should be able to host a
game.

Any help on this would be apreciated If you go and read my reply's in this
tread you'll find my system and setup, I have tried hosting nobody ever
joins, and how can you see what your ping is I don't think you can, it is
not the online gameplay that sucks or upsets me, it's the constant getting
removed from the game part, and not being able to join some games, you would
think that at least if it was the guy hosting that removed you he would give
a reason, like f.eks. your an ass on the track or your not good enough or
your too good, not that I'm either 1 of those i'm not really good but not
really bad either and I follow the rules so I really don't get it !!
