DDHELP CTD's in F1-2002

Just curious how many people were having a problem with this - I've
seen various posts indicating different source problems, but nothing
indicating ISI acknowledges the problem and is working on a fix.
The absolutely infallible way to get a DDHELP CTD for me is to run a
single driving school session, and whenever I try to return to the
main menu, instant CTD.
Are you supposed to see a car model on the driving school team
selection screen - I don't.  I've got an un-modded full install,
Win98SE, GF4Ti4200, 29.42 drivers, latest 4-in-1's, etc.  No probs in
other games.

Kendt - downloading 29.80 Det's, but really hoping to avoid the driver
dance.

I get the DDHELP problem too.  WinME, AMD 1.333Ghz, ATI8500LE 128MB.

Whenever I join an online race, I cannot stay connected to the host:
* when the track is being changed
* after choose Exit when the race is over.

Whenever I host an online race, it crashes when:
* I try to change tracks after starting a race.

Dammit EA/ISI!  - Looks like we're waiting for a patch, then.
Hopefully by the time FIA-GTv4 comes out this will be sorted.
Has ISI admitted to the need for a patch anywhere?
