Which Sound Card for DOS??

by Tim McCauslan » Tue, 01 Dec 1998 04:00:00

I want to upgrade my 8-bit sound card.  What I'm afraid is buying one that
won't work well in DOS,  I use the rendition ver. of NR99.
Does some know of a good card (not too expensive) that works well in WIN95
and DOS?
Thanks

I have been using the Turtle Beach Montego and it has run every Win 95 and DOS
game I have tried.  The additional advantage of this card is its digital
gameport, which helps take the load off your CPU.  The Aureal 3D sound, which
simulates three dimensional sound using two speakers, really works.  Great
card, no problems.  JMHO.
