I believe you basically need a T1 connection to reliably host a server
with the size of fields we are running in RASCAR. Were you racing
when we did Kansas? We were running 2 races every Sat. and Eldreds
server crashed after the first race. We tried to take over the RAS
Open server and it worked great.... for about 12 people. As soon as
we got around 14 or 15, everyones ping went though the roof. I
believe he is running it on a cable modem. There are probably quite a
few of us here with a decent extra PC sitting around that is capable
of hosting a race, but probably very few of us have access to a T1 or
greater connection (or are will to risk or jobs putting a server on
our company's connection). Really wish I had the connection, because
I would love to have a dedicated N2002 server, but can't quite sell my
wife on the idea of a T1.
