My god, how DARE they release the Belgian SPA track this way?
Did no one at EA watch a tape or go to the ***in Spa track??
No money left for accuracy I guess.

Before you start arguing: if its called a SIM the tracks should be
realistic.
Spa is the best track in the world and they got all the elevations wrong.

The part downhill to Eau Rouge is public road, so anyone can check it out.
You just have to care.... and at EA they don't, thats obvious.

Many of the other tracks are shit too. Its a shame because the graphics and
gameplay are nice.
But I LOVE Formula One, so I want the real thing, and the real tracks. Else
I might as well play Need for Speed.

If you feel differently about this subject: I understand.
If you claim the tracks ARE pretty accurate: U are talking total nonsense.

I agree totally, if you watch the F1 coverage you can get an in-car lap from
every circuit, plus you can see the circuits in countless other F1 games.
There's no excuse at all for ISI / EA getting the track layouts wrong.  It
really makes you wonder whether there were any F1 followers/fans working on
this game at all.  I don't know where ISI are based, but they don't seem to
know their F1.  I think it's a certainty that they didn't visit any of the
tracks during the making of this game.  Compare this with Geoff
Crammond/Symerg who have someone walk round all of the real tracks taking
photos and recording the layout.
For me this is only one criticism out of a whole range that can be levelled
at this game.  The engine is too slow for how good it looks (ie not very).
The car-shapes are not accurate.  The drivers helmets are too small.  Almost
all the track-side detail is the wrong colour, which means the whole game
ends up looking nothing like F1.  The graphics are just plain messy.  The
pit-crew look silly.  The AI are dumb and cause all sorts of pile-ups.  The
AI lap times are more than slightly unrealistic.  The FF effects are weak.
The engine sounds are way too high pitched (Martin Brundle says F1 engine
sound actually quite deep from in-car).  IMHO
An all-round very poor effort.  65%
Simon (sorry to rant, but this sort of criticism is what EA / ISI deserves)

No, they are in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA.
