gpl slow frame rate

Hi,

I've got a nvidia gforce mmx 200 64Mb, but i only get a frame rate of
27/28 at a resolution of 800 even if i turn nearly all the details
off, but if i choose the NONE option for 3D option when i run the game
with more detail i get 35-36 FPS, any ideas what might be the problem.

The card appears to work and i've tested it using 3Dmark2001SE the
score was 1334.

System is a DURON800, with 128 MB.

thanks, mark.....

Did you get the official patch and the D3D patch?

<snip>

Have you got the Detail Bias slider all the way over to the right? Turn
it down to about halfway; it makes a big difference. Also, some of the
third-party tracks (eg Le Mans, especially at the start) have a lot
more in the way of trackside objects than the Papy ones, so need a more
powerful setup.

Hi,

All patches have been applied, is there a particular order ?

Also, i've turned that much OFF it shows the track as rectangular
blocks and it looks like it was created the same time as PING.....

To confirm, bias slider is TOTALLY left, no lighting in use, no
drivers arms, 3 sounds, car only detail in mirrors,no skid
marks/dirt/dust showing, 640 res..

hopefully, markp.........

It sounds like you haven't actually selected D3D as the renderer in
the options pages....

Is this the case?

Hi,

Nope, done that, and it still has the 27/28 fps, i go all the way out,
restart it and it recognises that i have selected D3D.

What cars are you running (standard or jf carset, etc..)and are you running the 3d wheels options?
You really can't with that system.

I've not been running long, is FSAA anything to do with anti
analiasing(?), if it IS, i haven't got it running...

thanks, mark.........
