I reinstalled the latest version of GPL Race Engineer under XP, and I am
getting error messages every time I try to open or save a setup.  The error
message is: "parseTrackIni: Error 52 - Bad file name or number at
E:\Games\SIERRA\gpl\tracks\<none>\track.ini".  The program still works, but
I would like to get rid of the error message.  Anyone know what this
gibberish means or how to fix it?

I get it too. I sent an e-mail to Alison awhile back asking the same thing.
If I remember correct, she asked her brother Nate about it. He didn't have a
Windows 2000 computer to check (this was way before XP came out). The
program still works just fine, it just adds a couple of more mouse clicks to
get the job done. Not sure on what can be done about it. I race on my XP box
and have a Win2000 computer connected to a LAN so I can adjust setups
without leaving GPL. I get it on both.

I get exactly the same thing, and though I have not researched it yet, I was
under the impression that it was because I have setup folders for tracks
that I don't have.  I'll check that out and let you know.

Nope, removed the setup folders for tracks I don't have and I still get the
same thing.
