From Autosport
"Silverstone invader was radical Irish priest
Track protester's 'dance for peace' nearly ends in tragedy
The protester who invaded the track during Sunday's British Grand Prix
at Silverstone was an Irish priest who wanted to publicise his beliefs
that the world is about to end.
Father Neil Horan scaled the debris fencing before running onto the
track on the Hangar Straight as cars sped past him at over 150mph. He
then ran towards the exit of the Becketts sequence of corners before he
was tackled by a marshal and later arrested. He has since been charged
with aggravated trespass by Northamptonshire police.
Originally from Co Kerry, Horan lives in Clapham, London, and has been
issuing appeals to the media to highlight events in the Middle East
which, he believes, will lead to a third world war. To highlight his
thinking, Father Horan appears in public places wearing an Irish
national costume as part of a 'dance for peace'.
Dressed in an orange kilt, with a Star of David pinned to the front,
Horan carried a banner which stated "Read the Bible, the Bible is always
right". He has also pledged to parade in front of media buildings in
London to highlight his beliefs."

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there's an Irish version of the kilt,
can't say I've really looked into it as I don't have the legs for
it...:-)

His world nearly did end!
Was it just me, or did that Jag go for him?
Darf
Yeah, I didn't think that was cool, either. Has anyone been penalized for such
behavior recently?

ended....philosophy 1.0.1 ?

I don't think Hockenheim was 'brilliant'. Fast/long, definitely - but not
brilliant...

John "sensitive Scot" Wallace
Have they ever? :-( Was it not HHF who was invited to visit a gravel
trap at 190mph a few years ago in a similar move? I think there was a
stop/go for that one, but even the stop/go provoked howls of protest.
Safety's great, but to paraphrase Clark, without danger (fear) any
fool can race - be interesting to see how these guys would race if
they were stuck in Stewart's car for example. (I'm actually now
wondering if it would make any difference, thinking of the pictures of
Senna and Brundle's F3 cars on top of each other...!)
