I can start races only with a rolling start.  Doesn't the game allow
standing starts?  If so, how do you enable standing starts?

    It will be in the 44.324 patch - due out summer 2046. They're working

in 'player.plr' file

Set 'xxxxx Formation Lap="1" to 0 and skip pacelap="1" to 0 too

However, you must also set xxxxx Full Course Yellows="0", otherwise GTR may
throw a full course yellow in the (standing) start, because it thinks there
is a big crash since all cars are stationary on the grid.

xxxxx being CURNT, PRACT, QUICK, FRACE, CHAMP, MULTI or whichever is
applicable
