GTR 2k2 racing progress poll

Just wondering how far along in GTR 2002 everyone is

1. How many laps have you done?
2. How many poles have you gotten?
3. How many wins in any class?
4. What class do you currently race?
5. How many championships have you completed/won?
6 How many races have you completed?
7. Which aids do you use...if any?
8. In which class are you most competitive?

My answers:
1. 900, mostly practice laps
2. 10
3. 5
4. NGT
5. haven't started one yet since I haven't driven all of the circuits.  I do
lots of practice laps before each race.
6. I'm starting Alberta Park, so I've done maybe 8 or 10 races...
7. Clutch assist
8. NGT

1. 694, I started doing 100% races, but I now mostly just do 10 lap lan
races.
2. 0 poles. I find qualifying a little boring, and don't want to spend all
day tweaking the car. I just use those DA setups and start at the back. I
can pass half the field at the first corner anyways to get where I actually
want to start racing from.
3. 43 wins.
4. NGT on the lan races, just because it's more fun not having to worry
about wiping yourself out while accellerating :)
5. none.
6. 118 races.
7. Just clutch assist.
8. I find that I really prefer the GT class when I'm racing singleplayer. It
seems a little cut-throat and competitive, and I have to concentrate a lot
more on my own car.

You should also ask this:

9. What settings do you usually use for AI strength and aggression?

I use 95-98% and "insane".

I think there was a thread about this on the simbin forums...several
users were more than triple your lap count...and mine....

At least offline,  I challenge you to abide by the 'no passing rule til
you've crossed the s/f line.'  that would make #3 much more of a feat.

    Whoa...not bad!

Isn't it wierd how some guys will go right into a full championship
while other just prefer to pick and choose their events?
118x10 lap lan racing...er you should have more total laps!  :)

Has anyone figured out why those who use clutch assist offline are now
with v1.2 forced sometimes to use no clutch assist while online?

One TERRIBLE trait of mine...if I'm behind a fast guy I will tend to
drive better...if I'm ahead of a fast guy, the chances of me putting a rear
wheel off and spinning go up tremendously.  Most of my so-called 'fast'
laps came while chasing a few guys online...

(strangely tho..I have no brothers named Four or ***...)

I set AI to about 95, and aggression to normal.

It does seem easier to set fast laps when there's somebody in front to
chase.
