stand using the keyboard. This game was made for a wheel in my mind. So I'm
hoping I can get some feedback on a good/very good racing wheel (USB or
other) I can get that is WinXP compatible. Under $200 is my range.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

I also would have recommended the ACT Labs wheel, untill I spoke to a
friend tonight who bought the ACT a month ago. His pedal allready
broke. Then I checked out the ACT forum and noticed that he wasn't the
only one with this problem. ACT is very busy with sending spare parts
to all their customers now it seems :-/

I agree with these guys - The MOMO and the Act Labs are the two best.
Some like em, some dont, I love mine and after 6 TM's wheels in 4 years,
these are great, and lot longer lasting wheel!

"Beware the leader who bangs the drums of war in order to whip the
citizenry into a patriotic fervor, for patriotism is indeed a
double-edged sword. It both emboldens the ***, just as it narrows the
mind. And when the drums of war have reached a fever pitch and the
*** boils with hate and the mind has closed, the leader will have no
need in seizing the rights of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry,
infused with fear and blinded by patriotism, will offer up all of their
rights unto the leader and gladly so. How do I know? For this is what I
have done. And I am Caesar." -- Julius Caesar

My pedals broke and I now use the MS wheel. The ACT labs wheel has
strong effects, but at least my unit, has a pure ***response curve.
NOT LINEAR, too quick. The MS wheel dropped my Sears point lap times by
one second mostly due to the ACT labs pedals quick response curve (spin
tries very easy on accel, lock inside front very easy on braking). I
took apart the pedals and "fixed" the stickyness of the pedals for the
most part. I also was "twitchy" with the ACT labs wheel. I generally had
the steering ratio set quite slow to compenstate and had the linearity
at about 95%. With the MS wheel I use 100% linearity, and the steering
ratio is about 8x faster than I used with the ACT labs.
For the bad response curve, I would not reccomend the ACT labs wheel.
Now. In 4x4 Evo the ACT labs wheel kicked ass with the super strong
effects.
