Has anyone tried CH Foot Pedals with Indycar Racing? If so are they any good?

good? >>

I use them and I like them just fine.  You cannot use your right foot for
both gas & brake, though, as the pedals are too far apart and have heel
cups.  I learned to use left foot braking and after a few days it was very
natural.

A few notes, though -- the pedals tilt as regular pedals do, and the
entire pedal assembly rotates so the entire pedal moves forwards and
backward like an airplane rudder REGARDLESS of whether you have the switch
set to CAR.  This caused problems because my pedals were sliding around
during racing.  I took a wood dowel, sliced it in half, then cut it at
approx 2 inches and laid it in the oval slot where the pedals moved.  This
effectively stopped all pedal sliding and I could truly use them as
stationary tilting gas/brake pedals.  (The inserts are quite easy to
remove if you also like flight sims).

I would still like to get a steering wheel instead of a joystick, but I
can get a wheel with no pedal assembly at some point, so I'm not worried
about that.  The main advantage to the CH pedals is that they are easy to
push (no rollers or stiff springs -- some people might say stiffness is
more realistic, but during a long race with finesse needed, I like the
softer action of the CH pedals for precise throttle feathering), and that
they are versatile, able to be used for aircraft sims as proper rudder
pedals -- it DOES make a big difference!  I could always go the whole way
and get the CH Virtual Pilot yoke, but I'm not sure I want to compromise
in the steering department.

Hope this rambling helps you out -- my driving has improved immeasurably
now that I have independent control of the throttle -- a lot less
wall-banging occurs.
