CH Racing Wheel/CH Pedals

by Lars Hanse » Wed, 26 Nov 1997 04:00:00

I have a new CH Racing wheel and an "old" set of CH pedals.
Some (almost all) racing games using directx5 directinput asumes that
speeder/brake is axis 2 (joystick 1, y-axis). My problem is that the
pedals (in "car"-mode) uses axis 3 (joystick 2, x-axis) for speeder and
axis 4 (joystick 2, y-axis) for brake.
I have made custom configuration (4-axis, 4 buttons game controller) as
CH suggest.

When I chose "Thrustmaster T1/T2, without adapter" in controller panel
it transfer the input form the pedals (when in "plane"-mode) to axis-2,
but the problem is that now the speeder pedal acts as brake and vice
versa.

I guess that a controller driver can be made as a "software adapter"
(see above) for
the CH Pedals.

I have tried to e-mail CH teach support about the problem, but I have
not recived a usefull answer yet.

Maybe it will help if all gamers with the same problem ask CH teach
support for a solution.

Best regards,
Lars Hansen
