What the hell is wrong with Thrustmaster Tech Support???

by Mike Zamaroc » Sun, 17 Jan 1999 04:00:00

I sent them an E-Mail over THREE WEEKS ago to get replacement springs for my
NASCAR Pro Steering Wheel! Both the gas and brake pedal springs broke on me
(and the wheel isn't even a year old, nor was used that much till
recently!!!!), and except for one message back, they haven't sent me
anything, or answered me back since! This does not bode well with me! And as
I am considering a FF wheel someday, . . . . I think they are OFF my list
now!

Thanks

I have a Thrustmaster T2 and have had 3 or 4 pedal springs breaks and each
time they have sent out replacements in the next couple of days. Although
each time I have had a pedal break I have rang Thrustmaster instead of
E-Mailing them. So I suggest that you ring Thrustmaster to get the
replacement parts.

I am in the same position.  I called the other day and they said doing
Inventory and switching to a new database have caused delays in shipping
replacement parts.

I e-mailed Thrustmaster UK for an address of someone I could get a
replacement spring from - they sent me a full set free of charge
within a week or so.

You can't get better than that!!

I have to say although the springs have always been a problem
that they have always been prompt in getting me the springs when I need them
and I use the website to request them . Most supply corporations do
inventory
this time of year and trust me thats a job in any supply house !! I'd have
to say
give them the benefit of the doubt and give em a call Im sure they;'ll
do their best to satisfy you their customer

They probably have some problems with something, because I have always gotten
very good support from Thrustmaster. I have gotten springs and potentiometers
ever so often during the last two years. I have two T1's, one GP1 and now have
the Formula 1 Pro and in my latest mail I told them that my springs was not
broken yet and the potentiometers where not worn out yet, but could they please
send me replacements anyway, cause I practice 10 hours a week and they're bound
to brake sooner or later :o). They sent me springs, potentiometers and a bungee
cord for free. That kind of support must be very hard to beat :o).

Yepps,
same here, I never had any problems with TM's customer support. They always send
me new springs, pots, bungees and stuff I need to stay on the line... :o)
I personally haven't seen as good customer support yet.

I've been trying for 8 months to get a replacement***for the
piss-poor wheel attachment on the Nascar Pro :(

Which they are _still_ using on their new wheels, btw :(

What the hell is wrong with Thrustmaster Tech Support???

Thrustmaster does have a problem with pedal springs but I can't fault their product
support. I've ordered replacements 4 or 5 times and recieved them in 2-4 weeks.

The only other problem I've had is a dirty steering pot.

My TM Nascar Pro gets daily use and has proved to be a good value.
