you're probably stuck with the VGA graphics at 66mhz.  Have you
considered upgrading your processor?  I use an AMD-133 and run in SVGA
with all textures on except road and grass.  It makes planning your
moves and responding to things ahead of you much easier!

NASCAR Graphics?

Hi guys, I recently upgraded to a SVGA monitor, and I wanted to know two
things....one,  is there some sort of setup or config changes that I need
to make to take advantage of my new monitor? I have the disk edition...Or
would it be worthwhile to buy the CD with SVGA? I only have a 486-66, and
I'm concerned that I will have to strip down the graphics even more to run
SVGA. I'm running about 27 cars with only car detail, smoke, and skids on
now (7 ahead, 3 back)...Thanks in advance for your help

I have been considering upgrading my processor but was not sure if it
would help much with NASCAR. I have a 486/66 w/ a VESA LB video card. Is
your AMD-133 an upgrade chip or a new motherboard? I'm just afraid that
the video (slow bus speed) will be the limiting factor and the faster
processor may not help much.

Thanks for any help.
