Logitech and CH calibration trouble

I picked up a Logitech FF wheel. I didn't care for the pedals so I picked up
CH pedals to use instead. This way I could use them in GPL in "car" mode and
"plane" in flight sims. When I installed the first time and went into GPL, I
was able to calibrate and use the FF wheel and CH pedals. It worked fine in
GPL. However, when I went to a flight sim and changed the pedals to "plane"
the calibration was off and I would drift to the left. I uninstalled GPL,
the Logitech FF, and didn't find that to help at all. At one point every
time I went into GPL it threw up the calibration menu and I had to
recalibrate each time. I finally figured that it didn't matter much to me if
they worked with a flight sim, but it did matter if they were working with
GPL. But now I can't get GPL to recognize my pedals at all.

I have the FF into a serial port and the pedals into a game port. I'm sure
the fault is mine but I am not sure what to do about it. If I can get it to
work with GPL I'll leave well enough alone and forget about the pedals for
flight sims.

David,

I had to create a custom 2 axis controller (I named it CH pedals), and the
install two copies of it using the Game Controller in the Control Panel. I
think I ended up with the LT wheel at controller ID 1 and the 2 "CH Pedals"
at 2 and 3. The pedals calibrate weirdly under Windows, but work fine for
GPL.

The other solution is to plug an old joystick into the CH pedal y-connector.
I haven't tried it, but other people say that Windows and GPL then recognize
the pedals.

Logitech and CH calibration trouble

I've bought a LWFF yesterday, so I don't have much experience with it. I use
it with my old TM F1 pedals plugged to the SBLive gameport (inclusive
wheel). I could only get Windows to recognize my pedals, when the LWFF was
not installed, i.e. TM gets ID1 then I install LWFF to get ID2. That worked
until I changed some settings for the LWFF. Suddenly LWFF had ID1 and TM ID2
and was not recognized. I just had to delete and reinstall the LWFF in the
control panel to get it to work again. Try to check out if your pedals work
(i.e. are listed as 'OK') in the control panel before playing GPL. If not,
delete and reinstall LWFF.
Hope, that helps!
