Anyways, I started up NASCAR 4 and went to Talladega and started with
a practice run, I like to start with a quick practice to make sure
that my Act Labs force RS w/pedals & shifter are calibrated correctly.
So, after a quick practice I go to start a race and while driving the
pace lap I am scrubbing the tires and shifting through the gears when
I notice that the car is acting strange, jumping around the track
while holding the wheel straight, when I notice smoke coming up from
the car. I'm thinking "what the he!!, how did I blow the engine?".
Then I look down and realize that its not the engine on the car that
is smokin, but the "PC Engine" on the Act Labs force RS. When I
looked at it, it was glowing a bright yellow and ready to go up into
flames, so I reached over and yanked out the power plug to it. Of
course the room smelt like frying electronic components and I can only
hope that it didn't toast my USB port on my motherboard. I'll take a
better look at it this weekend.
If you have one of these wheels make sure you unplug the power from it
when your not using the computer.
