ICR2, Difference between Chassis & Engines

Can anyone tell me what difference there is between the various chassis
and engines in ICR2 ?
Also I could do with a decent car set up for surfers paradise if any-one
has got one, I can't seem to get the car to turn very sharply into the
chicanes the car just goes straight on into the walls.

My impression is that the Reynard has the most downforce, but has the
slowest top speed.  The Lola is fastest, but is very loose.  The Penske is
in between.
It's a little harder to tell with engines, but at Michigan, the Cosworth
was about 2 mph faster than the Honda for me, with the Mercedes about 1
mph below that.
