ICR2 General Car Setup - Chassis/Engine

Part 2 of ?

First off I would like to thank Jeff Vincent, Doug Reichley, and David
Sparks for their input on my last thread - Turbocharger.  It's
refreshing to receive honest and sincere responses.

Second, does anyone one *absolutely and positively* know how the three
different engines and chassis work together?  What are the strengths and
weaknesses of each?  Every FAQ I've read relays different information on
the subject (e.g., some say the Reynard is quick and twitchy, others say
its heavier and produces more drag).

If someone could clarify the attitudes of the seperate engines and
chassis, it would be greatly appreciated.  Does anybody with Papyrus
have any comments or suggestions?!

I thought that Michael Carver's FAQ did a pretty good job of describing the
engine/chassis options. It seems to match my experience, but I certainly
don't claim to be any kind of expert on Indycar 2. I prefer the
Honda/Reynard/Firestone combination, assuming that you have to make one
choice for the season.

Unfortunately, I don't think that there's any "official" word on
this.  Papyrus had a short info sheet on the chassis and engine
characteristics of ICR1, but not ICR2.  So what you're finding is
everyone's own personal perception, no doubt influenced by
interpretations of the performance of the real 1995 cars (which is
what Papyrus was trying to model in the first place).

Before you send me UCE, I know what you're thinking...  Did he complain
to five or six postmasters last month?  Now, you must ask yourself one
question: "Do I feel lucky?"  Well, do you, punk?

On Jan 13 I posted the following.  Please excuse the repost, but,
unfortunately, my server went down before I could receive your
responses.  Thank you for taking the time to repost your answers:

Here's a reposting of my 1/13/97 message, not sure if you got it.
