Best 3dfx card

Guys,

I am wondering what the best 3dfx card is for my system.  I will be using
it mainly to enhance Burnout and maybe N2.  My system is a P5200,
Supermicro MB, Intergraph reactor 2d card (1.5 years old).  The reason I
said "maybe" N2 is that I run it in Rendition mode which I have seen is
slightly better than 3dfx mode.  I guess the real question is which is
better the first version or second version 3dfx cards for my system??
Thanks for the advice.

The choice varies depending on your budget and future upgrade plans.
A Voodoo2 wont be that much faster than a Voodoo1 with your CPU.

If you have the money and are thinking about upgrading to a Pentium2, I'd say
get the Voodoo2. If you plan on sticking with your P200 for a while you might be
happier to get a cheap Voodoo1 card, then a faster CPU, followed by a Voodoo2
later on.

I say that because very soon you will probably find you need a faster CPU more
than you'll need a Voodoo2 card.

Hope you find this advice helpful.

David

Tight Budget - get a Voodoo 1
Apparently these have come down in price a hell of a lot in the US
(try a Diamond Monster 4mb or Canopus Pure3D 6mb)

Looking to upgrade to P2 soon - get a Voodoo2
A voodoo2 won't gie you much increase in speed on a 200, but once you
get a P2, the speed goes up a lot (no more CPU holding it back)
