The current best looks to be the new 6meg Canopus Pure3D add-on card.

Diamond Monster or Orchid Righteous are both EXCELLENT cards and the best
supported in the industry - by both drivers and available software.  Deciding
between these 2 depends on the current price and available pack-in games.
Monster has a great selection of games but costs slightly more than the Orchid.
Both cards perform identical and can be found fo $99-$149 depending on where you
shop.

Does it support 3DFX??? If not, as it seems most sims are headed that way, get a card with the
VooDoo chipset..... Orchid Righteous or Diamond Monster ($151 at TC Computers).

Yes, it's a 3Dfx card and unlike the Monster and Righteous it adds 4megs of
texture memory and TV outputs.

Does anyone know if, while using the TV out, the monitor refresh can be
other than 60Hz? From a hardware perspective, I assume the answer is
"No, of course not."

Will the above mentioned cards work well with ICR2/N2/GP2 and the
upcoming UBF1/Cart Prescision, etc?  Also, can you run just plain 2D
games thru them?  I too, am upgrading, and want a good card.  Thanks...

The above mentioned cards will do nothing for ICR2,N2,GP2, etc.  They hook
up inline between your 2D card and your monitor, and as 3D only cards and
will be used for native Voodoo titles (UBF1) as well as Direct3D ones (Cart
Precision Racing).

supported in the industry - by both drivers and available software. >Deciding

The cards above will only work with Ubi F1 and Cart Prescision when they are
released. ICR2 and N2 only have rendition support and GP2 has no 3D card
support. The two cards (Diamond Monster and Orchid Righteous) are 3D only. A
separate 2D card is needed to run 2D games. Note that Hercules has a 3DFX
card that has both 2D and 3D on one card; however it is slower than the 3D
only cards above.
