OK, I've been researching all of the 3D cards with the Verite chip
for the
upcoming Nascar 2.
So between Creative Labs, Intergraph, and Sierra's versions, is one
supposed to be better than the other, or should price be my guideline for
purchasing one over the other ? I haven't noticed any difference...
If there are any comparisons on other websites or newsgroups, please
post.

All are exactly the same hardware-wise. Creative lab's board will be the
only one that supports their Creative Graphics Library API (they control
this through the card's BIOS), but that's not that big of a deal as few
games (other than the bundled titles) will use it. I chose the Intergraph
for a few reasons. First, it has been available for over a week now.
Sierra's board will not be out until Nov, and CL's board is just being
shipped from distributors. Secondly, I felt it had the best software
bundle (i.e. ICR2). Third, Intergraph is a very good company and gives
tremendous customer support (more than I can say for Creative Labs). On
several occasions I have received unsolicited e-mail from one of their
employees with regards to questions that have arose in the newsgroups.
Basically it comes down to who you feel has the best bundled titles and who
will give you the best support. The answer to both of those for me was
Intergraph, and so far I have seen nothing that would indicate I made a bad
choice. In fact my experiences with Intergraph has only reaffirmed my
beliefs.

The hardware on all three is identical. I chose the Intergraph board because
it was out first, and it had ICR2 Rendition Ready bundled with it.
Intergraph's support is great as well, they are already giving us a driver
update for windows next week. Their tech support has been very helpful.
I would hope it's faster than the Reactor. After all, by the time Sierra's
card hits the streets they will have had nearly a month's extra time to
work on driver revisions. BTW, the updated drivers and BIOS should be out
for distribution by Intergraph by the end of next week.

I heard from one person that the Sierra Screamin' 3D is supposed to be a
bit
faster in Windows as far as 2D is concerned. I bought the Intergraph
because
I wanted ICR2 and Sierra wasn't available yet. I remember play ICR2 and
having
trouble judging distances but now, with these new 3D cards, pixelation is
down to
almost none existant and I find it easy to see down the road. I just wish
that
Papyrus changed all the tracks on the Rendition version of ICR2. They only
changed 5. Can we buy a full version? Anybody know?

$216 shipped to my door in less than 24 hours. Currently I think it is
only available directly from Intergraph (see their web page at
http://www.intergraph.com/ics/reactor). I've heard that the 3D Blaster PCI
(identical hardware, but no ICR2 bundle) has been spotted at CompUSA.
