CPR Turbo settings

CPR Turbo settings

I have a quick question about the turbo charger settings on CPR.  Whenever I
set it higher than 5 it sounds like I dropped something out of the bottom of
my car.  I don't gain any extra power or speed, in fact the opposite seems
to happen.  I looked through the pathetic manual they gave me and also
through the on-line help to no avail.  If anyone has an answer to this I
would appreciate the help.

Thanks

That is the pop-off valve you hear, which activates when the pressure
exceeds 40 (psi?). It is best to just leave the boost on 5 and forget about
it.

I've noticed this problem also. Always thought that as the number increased so
did the turbo charger pressure and therefore the power output for the engine.
In ICR2 the higher the number the greater the power. In a real CART machine ??
I believe the sound you're hearing is the "pop off" valve releasing the
pressure when it reaches the specified boost pressure (nice touch).

I just got CPR and have just begun playing with it. I've only been doing hot
laps, no real racing. From what I've read in the group, a patch is coming out
soon?. I've noticed a few things that might be nice and one or 2 that could be
problems:

Tire Temperatures do not appear to be modeled. Tire temperatures are important
for wear and handling.

No indication of tire wear that I have seen so far.

A problem in the replay when in the***pit. Speed, RPM and Gear that you raced
in appear to be incorrect, Can actually cause the gear to change in the replay
by pressing the gear button
(Using a T2).

Hard to believe I can run into the wall at 180 MPH and just lose a wheel and a
front wing.

Not a bad game, good visuals, appears to be reasonable support, good web sites
supporting the game, nice to see the paintkit and hopefully soon the track
editor.

Due to the lack of response.....
Yet another BUG!!!!!! I would say.
Any setup, or setting and I get the same thing.
Great programming.  Not.

if you know anything about the real cart series, the turbo setting is
related to the pop off valve. When it lets go you lose the the turbo. it
seems to me that tis is the same in the game.

This is not a bug. It is the pop-off valve opening because you are increasing
the turbo to produce more than 40 inches of boost, which is the max allowed in
the CART series. When you blow open the valve (that's the sound you're hearing)
you lose performance dramatically.
