I've occasionally encountered this off-center issue with the Logitech
Wingman Formula Force GP and a few other Logitech devices when the
profiler isn't loaded. I've also have a game -Sports Car GT- that
won't recognize my wheel with the profiler loaded. I had to replace my
Wingman GP after a year with a new 2nd generation Wingman GP and
rarely have the centering problem without the profiler. From what I've
read and heard the same seems to be the case with the 2nd gen of MOMO
wheels. The only advise I can give is just try it either with or
without the profiler for each specific game to see what works best. If
I unload the profiler I usually have to recalibrate my GL wheel unless
I re-boot.
My experience with Logitech is that they always make improvements
with updates of their Wingman Software/drivers and 2nd gen releases of
their hardware. So far I've never regretted upgrading to new versions
of the Wingman software; taken my 3 year old gameport Interceptor
throught 4 new updates so far.
