Hi all...

Okay, I've got my computer upgrade done, everything that's REALLY
important (my racing sims!) is working fine.. now I'm ready to add some
current cars to N2.  Never done this before... so thought maybe I could
save myself some grief and ask for a short "how to" course from those
that's "been there, done that". I understand it's nothing like N1 was
(easy) but is more involved?  Some help would be appreciated before I
launch out on my own. :-0

Say Michael Carver... did I understand it right that you are working on
a Darlington AI upgrade?  THAT ought to be good. Sure like your Marty AI
patch.  Haven't had the "courage" to try the Tally one, though.  Pretty
happy with the one that Tom Hansen did for Tally.  While I'm at it,
Mike, thanks A LOAD for all the work you put in on the ICR2 carsets.
They are simply super.  Because of guys like you, I get to see
"up-to-date" cars dicing me for the lead (I wish!).

God Bless,

Andre

Basically it's very simply, just copy the *.car files into your CARS
directory.  Then you either use the Driver Info/Competitor List in N2 to
create a new Entry List and select the cars you want to race.  Or you
can download the excellent utility N2HQ (http://www.vii.com/~danej) and
do it from there.  I think the latter is easier than the N2 approach.

We are still "de-bugging" and fine tuning Darlington.  This track truly
lives up to its name as the "Track too tough to tame".  But, we are
close to putting it all together.  As to your dicing (not) for the
lead in ICR2, you must be using my X-File Drivers2.txt files! ;-)

It's actually pretty simple. You install the cars in the \NASCAR2\CARS
directory, and they appear on the left side in the Driver Info screen. You
can either create a new car list or replace cars in the list you're using
now.

Even simpler, you can download the '97 Winston Cup or Busch set from
IWCCCARS and it installs itself in your cars directory, complete with a
ready-made list of cars. Just select the list from the Driver Info screen
and you're done.

I vote for this option. These are great cars and really enhanced my game.
 Thanks IWCCCARS guys.
