World Circuit II by Spectrum Holobyte??

A local (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Can.) computer store ran an ad for
"World Circuit Grand Prix II" by Spectrum Holobyte.  At first I
thought the Spectrum Holobyte was a mistake by the store but the photo
of the box shows what looks to be a 94 Williams with Spectrum Holobyte
written underneath. Has anyone heard of this before or possibly used
it?  Is it the new F1GP sim by Microprose put out under a different
company  name?

Microprose and Spectrum Holobyte are working together, they even have a combined
home page on the net.

I believe Microprose and Spectrum Holobyte are the same company.
Check out http://www.microprose.com
You'll not only see Microprose, Spectrum Holobyte is there too.

When the original F1GP came out Microprose released it in North America
as World Circuit due to a conflict with another product already out on
the market here.  Sometime after the release Spectrum Holobyte bought
out Microprose.  Therefore, I would assume that the World Circuit Grand
Prix II is the North American release and SH is using their name over
Microprose.

Hi Ken,

GRAND PRIX 2 will be released under the MicroProse name in
UK/Europe, and in the states under the Spectrum HoloByte name
as part of the WORLD CIRCUIT RACING Series.  Same game, same
company.

Best,
-Quentin

Spectrum Holobyte own MicroProse, hence their full name is now
Spectrum Holobyte-MicroProse. In the US, the game will be released
under the SH label. In the UK and probably the rest of Europe, it
looks like the game will be relased under the MicroProse label, with a
different box design.

The game is the same.

World Circuit with Spectrum Holobyte and they're now looking at
releasing it in January....

No way, F1GP2 and World CircuitII are the same game, but F1GP2 is the
European release and WCII is under Holobyte in the states.

Actually by saying WCII i meant WCRS:GP2 (its just waylonger), and it is
under SH
and then F1GP2 is under MPS in europe
