Has anyone else noticed that since the new patch, the qual and race
motor choices are locked? Or is it just my game?? Mine is grayed out, no
matter what setup is loaded. It's permanently on RACE motor. There's
nothing in the readme about it, that I could find.. Is it possible that
they did this since Nascar announced the rules change for next year? But
I thought the patch was out before that announcement? Any info is
appreciated, Mick

It depends on where you are racing. Is this offline or online? I know that
the game at times will enforce the engine choice: IE When you go to qualify,
it will only allow a Q motor, when going into race it will only allow a race
motor.

Other than that I have noticed no problems in just "test" running alone. Can
switch between engines with no problem.

Hmm, guess it's just me then? I was in an offline "Practice" session
when I noticed the problem.. Haven't checked online, but since Practice
mode shouldn't restrict it, there's a problem somewhere for sure. It
will still qualify fine, Online, and in the N4 Utility Machine it shows
the qual setups have qual motors.. Oh well, I'm getting ready for a HD
reformat/ windows98se reinstall anyway, so maybe when I reload
everything, it'll come around??

Problem fixed.. Just got done formatting C: and reinstalling OS, and
Apps.. It's back to normal now.. Mick
