Graphics card choice for N4...

Hello all...A friend of mine from work wants to load N4. He is running a
stock 16mb agp video card. He also has NHL 2001 loaded but tells me it runs
choppy. I told him I would research video cards for him and we would go from
there.

I run GPL exclusively so I need some help. Please suggest a video card that
would handle both N4 and NHL 2001. Start middle of the road (price) and go
up. Best bargain for the buck so to speak.

Thanks in advance..

I run both games as well and I am using a Maxi Gamer Cougar TNT2 card that
costs about $100.  It does well, but it's not top of the line.

Budget minded - GeForce2 MX
not so budget minded - GeForce2 Ultra or Pro
Extravagant - Wait a little longer for the GeForce3 to hit the streets.

Some people do nothing wrong.
The problem is, they do nothing.
And THAT is wrong.

GF3 doesn't bring much to the table for current games. At it's selling
price I think it's a bad choice. A good old GF2 will serve most well
for quite some time without shelling out big bucks. If you have the
money to blow then I guess a GF3 is a must have though.

Geforce2. But, if I was him I would also upgrade the cpu. I'll be
selling my P3 800 cpu, BX mb and sdram soon because I've ordered all
the gear to go AMD 1.33ghz DDR system.
