Been playing GTR like there's no tomorrow.

Had a graphics glitch when exiting pits, the screen had some minor freezes
so I thought it best to update the ATI drivers from 4.9 to 4.11.

The freezes went away but the frame rate dropped, specially in multiplayer
where the game became unplayable. Reverted back to the 4.9's everything's
fine now (except for the freezes...).

Just thought I'd post this in case somebody has the same problem.

When does it freeze?  When you first start moving and the other cars come
into view?  Try this...when you enter the car, or from a menu where you can
see the cars in the pits, and cycle thru them(usually the + and - keys)
once you have gone thru viewing the field, you should be able to exit the
pits smoothly.  Of course this is from F1c since I can't get GTR til next
year.  Hopefully it will work.

I'm using 4.11.  Everything is fine except the MoTeC dial on the F575 is
corrupt. Don't recall having the problem when I had 4.9 installed.

Damien,

You must have your stuff set to 32 bit or you will see that problem.

OK, cheers.  I'll have to reduce my resolution though.  :-(

Kind of a double post. I posted earler about this but can't find the post
using OE and can't send a repply using google.

In summary: Cat 4.11s cause a major frame rate drop in GTR, Cat 4.9's don't
but cause some micro-freezes when exiting pits.

Thanks Dave Henry for the tips. Cycling the cars make's it better, but the
micro-freezes are really not a major issue as they only happen when existing
pits.

New 4.12's are out, will try them (no mention of GTR under "Fixed in this
Driver" though...).
