I bought GPW today and played it all day long,....it's really exciting to be an team manager!
The cars and sponsor logo's as well as the helmets and driversfaces are all in bmp format so it must be easy to update this masterpiece.
So come on lets cutomize this sim.

Great, I saw it in GAME today and was wondering If I'd better hold on to see
some reaction,

its always a bonus if files are in bmp format (even though they use lots of
space....hehe)

GPW Great game!!!!!!

by Rick Math » Tue, 29 Feb 2000 04:00:00

I bought this on Friday and am thoroughly enjoying it. There is a lot to
take in and a pretty steep learning curve which will no doubt put off the
masses. The race section is very well done too, although there is a little
too much micromanagement involved in telling your drivers how to behave.

After my first GP, I had an inbox full of angry emails from:-

An angry Damon, threatening to disobey team orders until he was reinstated
as number 1 after I gave my drivers equal status.
My chief of commerce informing me that some of our sponsors were reducing
their funding due to my plummeting popularity.
Ralf, calling me incompetent for forgetting to allocate him testing time.
Damon & Ralf hurling abuse at me for the abysmal race setup they were landed
with.
Not to mention various engineers/designers deciding to resign/jump ship!

I'm gradually beginning to get the hang of the game mechanics though (almost
scored a point at my last GP...). Great fun!

Rick.

GPW Great game!!!!!!

Not bad for a beginner :)

Is there a site about GPW?
I loved GPM2, you could spend hours after hour playing it but it was a bit
predictable and easy. I might give this one a try.
Where can I find a demo?

There is no demo of the game as yet, there may possibly eventually be a
rolling, unplayable demo. We have a website on the game at Formula One Sims
UK[http://www.f1sims.co.uk]. The site is run by the same people who ran
Juan's GPM2 Page/The GPM2 Lounge and brought you the many GPM2 Car-Sets for
DJByteDisaster's GPM2Editor.

Hope this helps!
