Anyone using an MS Precision Wheel with GPL? Advice Needed

Well, the Ferrari wheel didn't arrive so my only option for
tonights league race is an old MS Precision Wheel I
have.

I'm pretty sure it has a fault in that in test, sometimes the
car will trvel straight in relation to the grid lines, others
it will be verring left when the wheel is stationery (i.e
centred) [MSP users will understand what I mean).

Does anyone out there use one of these?
Any tips on :

Profile Settings : Deadzone, Sensitivity
GPL Settings  :  Linearity, Steering Ratio

BTW, the league race is at ... the Ring! a worse place to
be with such a wheel I can't think of.

This wheel, like most wheels and all joysticks somtimes centres on slightly
different positions, hence sometimes the car is pointing straight up and
sometimes it's a few degrees off to one side.  For instance, if you turn to
full lock right and let the wheel centre, then try full lock left and let it
centre, the two centre positions will be slightly different.  Every wheel
i've ever seen does this, and it doesn't affect GPL in the slightest.

Deadzone - smallest, Sensitivity - about 1/4 from the left (so quite low)
That's with the default GPL setups, so I don't know about steering ratio,
but I have linearity in GPL set just to the right of centre.

And the pedals on seperate axis of course.

Sensitivities don't matter too much, because you soon adapt to the new
settings.

btw If your league race is important, then get used to the wheel beforehand,
because switching form FF to non-FF can take a while to get used to.  Good
luck :)
