Just upgraded my PC.  So because it can cause some trouble's I re-installed
GPL.

After GPL has started, you can enter de driver, options etc.

I can choose for a circuit en click the green flag.

The only reaction is "Could not initialize the replay sytem." (Click OK),
next window is "Canceling the Weekend" and I'm back in the first screen. I
can look at older replay's, I can see my best times but I CAN'T race.

Used GPL version is uk with patch 1.2.0.2 (delivered with CD), I already
tested the cpu-fix (no changes)

Used Sytem is a ABIT KT7-Raid with 768 MB RAM, 1.2 AMD Thunderbird, GF2MX
with Nvida 21.81 drivers and OS= WIN98SE  ( I already Changed Windows
system.ini (vcache) so I can use this amout of RAM)

Maybe any user already solved a problem like this one and want to share the
solution with me ??

too much installed memory.  Even with the vcache setting I would think.  Try
removing a memory chip.  Good luck.

Thanks for the reply.

Should it also be solved if I change to Win XP, cause XP handels better with
that amount of memory??

I know try is and you will see, but to buy XP only for GPL is quite
expensive.  :-)

Given that you have 768MB of RAM, GPL is probably trying to allocate a
larger replay buffer that Windows will allow.  Edit your core.ini and in the
[Replay] section change the ReplayMemoryOverride setting to something like

[ Replay ]
ReplayMemoryOverride = 256000

The units for the number are Kbytes of memory, so 256000 is about 256MB of
replay memory.

262144 would be exactly 256 Mb ;-)
