So what's wrong with letting people use the 'ideal racing line' setting?  Give
me something better than "It's arcade shite..."

I can only assume people want it off so they can get some edge at a new
track for a few laps.
It does nothing more than help a person run the best way around the track
which is what you should want from everyone in a race.  the better everyone
can drive the better the race will be.

Well, for one thing, it doesn't do anything for the old 'immersion factor'.
We are pretending to be real race drivers here.....

Well when you consider the fact that real drivers can walk the track and
many do on a new track I think it's a valid item.
If you don't like it you can turn it off.
I'm sure some think DW track talks are unfair too, we wouldn't want people
learning the right way around a track now would we ;)

Go here and get the VDM Sound Program, it's for Windows XP and will
allow you to run DOS based games will full sound support and also full
wheel support, including USB wheels.

I've tried it with the Dos version of ICR2, and it works perfectly
with my home edition of Win XP.  It does not work with Win95/98.
