N3 Merge from Pit on Yellow?

Guys, I am learning to play by competing against the AI through a race
season. I don't know the protocol is for merging  from a pitstop during a
yellow. Where am I allowed to squeeze in and when must I allow another
driver in line? I am constantly getting black flagged for "passing on a
yellow flag" when I merge where I think should. My spotter is constanly
telling me to get behind this and that driver, but I can't figure out what
the rule or pattern is for getting back in the line up.

You need to exit at the recomended pit speed, and fall in behind the car
that is closest to you but in front of your posisiton.  Now using the F2
key you can see where the other car is in relation to you.  Then just
find the # the spotter is telling you to follow and you'll be set.  N3
has some quirks when a car gets tapped or spins during a caution and you
may find yourself haveing to move several times to get behind the proper
car in such a situation.  I got a DQ black flag on the last lap because
of a messed up yellow flag.

Dave, thanks for your reply. Can anyone say what the official Nascar rule is
for merging? Do you have to let someone in or is it a "courtesy" thing?

there is a line at the end of the pits...if your NOSE crosses the line
first, you get to move ahead of the car on the track..same goes for him,
if his nose crosses that line first, then he gets the spot.
